Federer: Still Number 1

Federer the great, prepares to defend his Dubai Championships title, he is 31-year-old but he’s not about to talk about retirement, he said he can play for ‘many more years to come’ and still can win another Grand Slam title. I don’t doubt him do you?

Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray have played in the last two Grand Slam finals and Federer not about to just over the crown and allow him to fade into the background like not an injury-plagued Rafael Nadal can still come back.

As he prepares to defend his Dubai Championships title, the 31-year-old Federer says Sunday he is playing “excellent tennis” and is confident he can overtake Djokovic for top spot. He also brushed aside talk of retirement, insisting he can play for “many more years to come” and still can win another Grand Slam title.

People say he should give up, I have heard he was to old but please he is second in the world, he is still making finals let’s not be ridiculous. The 17-time Grand Slam champion added to his total with a Wimbledon title in 2012 but lost in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open and the semifinals of this year’s Australian Open.

I think Federer can still win and win big, I will never doubt this man what do you think…?
